Systems engineering in the development of Lelystad Airport

The Lelystad Airport project comprises the development of the new airport Lelystad Airport as twin airport of Schiphol. Part of Lelystad Airport’s development programme is the new terminal. With a capacity of 9 million passengers per year (final stage), this will be one of the busiest terminals in the Netherlands. This terminal is not just a building; it’s developed as a completely new and innovative concept. With the (future) leisure traveller in mind, the terminal will be comfortable, efficient, sustainable and pleasant, providing a seamless journey. This talk will highlight the systems engineering-based approach on systematic development of the airport infrastructure and the new terminal.
