Adriaan van den Brand (1969) studied electronics and computer science at Hogeschool Eindhoven. He started his career in professional audio with PAC/EELA Audio in 1992. After four years he moved to High Tech Automation, a technical software service provider, where he specialized in embedded software, and quickly became software architect. Three years later he moved to an even faster paced startup The Industree (Barconet) as product marketing manager, focusing on innovative concepts in cable modems. He moved to AAS, later Centric Tsolve in 2002, where he started in the ESI Boderc project as one of the industry SMEs exploring model-driven development. From 2004 to 2010 he worked as an architect on a project basis in the automotive domain for Visteon, on projects for BMW and Ford, and as a system architect responsible for the NXP Triceps infotainment software stack. In 2010 he started at Philips Innovation Services as a system architect, working with HTAS partners on a model-driven technology proof of a series hybrid refuse collection truck. This was followed by ASML projects (450 mm EUV wafer handler – very multidisciplinary), an IXR project (process validation) and MRI projects (system engineering). At the forming of CDP2, he moved to this new department to take up complex solutions in the mobile healthcare domain – as solution architect. From 2015 onwards, he is functioning as chief architect Philips oral healthcare – digital portfolio, including Sonicare and Sonicare 4 Kids apps and new solutions in the professional domain.
